Incredible athletic ability from both his sire Balou du Rouet and the mare's sire Argentinus, beautiful movement and perfect conformation. Most importantly though is the brain! The Argentinus on the mare side is what really makes the difference because Argentinus is well known for putting great minds on his offspring and Bliss's mother Ornella is the calmest, most level headed horse I have ever encountered. So while Bliss's athletic ability is obvious it is his great mind that will win the day. Bliss MF is approved BWP, Hanoverian, Oldenburg GOV, sBs and Westfalen (RPSI). After training with John Brown, where Bliss MF was showing in the training Jumpers and getting lots of blue ribbons, he did one year of training with Jessica Miller in Dressage. Then went into training with Glenn Hartigan of EurImports, to prepare for the 70-Day Stallion Testing, where he was Reserve Champion. --- Bliss MF has extremely sought after bloodlines on both sides of his pedigree. Sire, Balou du Rouet, has it all. In Vechta (GER) 2002 Balou's excellent stallion performance test garnered him jumping marks of 9,5 and 10,0 by the international judges. Then in Vechta 2003 he got the 1C "Hauptprämie" at the stallion approval. This title is awarded to the four-and-a-half-year-old stallion, whose performance results, his own development as a breeding and performing stallion were as convincing as his first foal croup. At the foal-elite auction, he sired the most expensive foal, Baltic King. The brown stallion was auctioned for € 19.000. In 2005 Balou caught everyone’s attention by scoring the highest mark of 9.2 at the national championships, making him one of Germany’s top 4 licensed stallions. Balou du Rouet emphasizes his dominant quality as a producer in type, elegance and movement, with numerous foals at many different auctions. He continuously produces finalists for the German foal championships. Offspring of Balou du Rouet have been approved at almost every stallion licensing – most notably the licensed “BE BRAVO”, who sold for € 350.000 as the most expensive horse of the 2007 AOS auction. His number of approved sons has amounted to over thirty stallions. His sire is Baloubet du Rouet - Gold Medallist at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and an incredible three-time World Cup Champion – is one of the most successful jumping stallions in the world. His grand sire Galoubet is a son of the great stallion Almé and was already an international success at the young age of seven. He won team gold in 1982 at the World Championships. On the dam’s side, Balou du Rouet is directly related to the founder of the bloodline, Cor de la Bryere, from Holstein through Rantzau xx. The offspring of the dam’s sire, Continue, achieved lifetime earnings of over € 230.000. Numerous licensed stallions are descendants from this dam line. Balou du Rouet is continuing with his picture perfect career: after winning one young horse class after another and gaining marks up to 10.0 in his 30-day test, Balou du Rouet is now successfully competing at the 1.50m level. Bliss MF is out of Ornella, whose sire is Argentinus. That says it all! Do follow this link to go to the Argentinus page and read his full story. Ornella is out of Ostia who is by Swedish bred Oldenburg stallion Pik Trumpf. Her grandsire is the outstanding Celle State stallion Pik Konig who also sired the Dressage legend, Pik Bube. --- Lifetime Approved Hanoverian (also in the Jumper Breeding Program), Belgian Warmblood (BWP-NAD), Oldenburg GOV, Westfalen (RPSI) and sBs.
